I’m trying to choose between the Lasaka, Monrovia, and the Prague (all in plush firm or luxury firm). I’ve tried the comps in the stores and liked them all. I understand from your site that the Lakasa is a little more firm than the Monrovia. Where does the Prague fit into the equation? And, is there any benefit to the visco (Lakasa) over the latex (Monrovia) or vice-versa?

I want to clarify the Comfort Scale on our website – it is 1-10 and 1 is the hardest and 10 is the softest.
So in regards to your comment about the Lusaka Plush Firm (comfort scale 6) being slightly firmer than the Monrovia Plush Firm (comfort scale 5) that is incorrect. The Monrovia is slightly harder than the Lusaka.
The Prague is the only model in the “luxury Firm” comfort, which would be similar to a Plush Firm at at comfort scale of 5.
Not everyone likes Visco Memory foam, and some people are more sensitive to it than others. Visco Memory Foam is a heat activated foam that molds to your body. It is an excellent foam for pressure point relief and motion separation. For those who do not like visco, they use negative terms like; It Sleeps Hot, and the foam forms a mold that makes it hard to roll out of during the night. And then there are many who love Visco Memory Foam.
Latex is the more expensive foam of the two – and that is why the Prague is the most expensive, because it has both Latex and Visco in the padding layers of the mattress.
You should ultimately go with which ever model felt the most comfortable to you.

I saw a mattress in a store and am not sure how to match it with something you sell and it doesn’t fit with anything on the Simmons model PDF.
The name is the Atkins Visco/Latex Plush Firm. 13ga coils but both memory foam and latex.
Do you have something that matches this?
Hi Dan,
I have cross referenced the name “Atkins” and it came back as the match to our Lusaka Plush Firm. The only difference between our model and the Atkins is that the Lusaka only uses Visco memory foam and does not use the combination of the Visco and Latex. We also have the Monrovia, but that uses Latex only rather than the combo. We unfortunately do not have the exact match that uses both Latex and Visco.

Which Brand would you recomend, Spring Air Four Seasons or Simmons Beautyrest?
The Other question is regarding the Box Spring O the Foundation. Do I need to buy a base for a mattress with box spring or foundation?

From a quality standpoint, both Spring Air and Simmons are great
manufacturers. Simmons will offer better motion separation, so if you are a light sleeper or you sleep next to one, Simmons will reduce the amount of motion that you or your partner will feel. I would recommend buying a boxspring with your new mattress purchase to keep your warranty intact, but if you have a platform bed then you don’t need one. We were in our local mattress store and saw a mattress that we liked, but it seemed a little expensive. It is called a Simmons Beautyrest Orange River Plush (Queen) with 980 coils. With our type of frame, we only need the mattress (no box spring). Do you have access to this model?

You are correct, the Simmons Beautyrest Bamako Plush Mattress Set is both the mattress and the box spring. Any mattress protector will work fine on keeping bed bugs out of your mattress provided you do not currently have bed bugs in your home. Typically, you will want to purchase a water proof one so that no stains accidentally get onto the mattress since stains do void the manufacturer warranty. Once the order arrives in your local delivery terminal, which is when the delivery agent will call you to schedule the specific date and time window for delivery. However, all Simmons mattress sets are not stocked and do take the 2-3 week time frame that we list online as a delivery window.
