Sealy Hope Mills for a Youth

July 28, 2009

From Jeanne -
I am a repeat customer, My husband and I ordered a Sealy Signature Greenhurst last year. I am looking at the full sized mattresses for my son.

I want a great mattress with lots of support, as he will be a full sized young man. But, I am interested in a lower priced Mattress. We can’t spend a small fortune.

Do you recommend this Sealy Hope Mills? They seem to have the better Sealy coils (640 14 guage posturetech coils), at a more reasonable price. Or, do you have any other recommendations?

My question about these two Sealy Hope Mills mattresses:
It is hard to determine whether to order the Firm or the Cushion Firm.
They both have similar layers of cushioning. But, with different materials.

Which mattress has the longer lasting, most supportive cushioning layers.

Hi Jeanne,
The Hope Mills is a great mattress, one that our customers have been very happy with, offers great support, and one that I can highly recommend. Depending on the age of your son, I would recommend the cushion firm over the firm as a mattress that is too firm can throw off spinal alignment in young adults who are younger than 10 years old. Cushion firms provide excellent support while simultaneously offering a bit of cushion to properly contour your lower back.

Sherman Oaks compared to Serta Hotel

July 26, 2009

From George -
We stayed at the Ritz Carrolton Hotel in Pasadena, CA, and really enjoyed the comfort of their pillowtop mattress. We see from your website that they would likely have the Serta Perfect Sleeper Sapphire Suite Pillowtop. How does the Sealy “Signature” Sherman Oaks Luxury Plush Super Box Top compare with this hotel Serta?

Hi George,
The Sherman Oaks by Sealy has a Luxury Plush Super Box Top.
It is considered to be a very soft mattress with a comfort scale of 8.5.
It is a one sided mattress so it can not be flipped.
It contains a couple of layers of latex and memory foam, which are the highest end foams in the mattress industry.

The Serta Hotel Mattress called the Sapphire Suite Pillowtop is a semi soft mattress, not as soft as the Sherman Oaks.
It is a double sided mattress, which means it can be flipped and rotated.
It does not contain any premium foam layers such as Latex or Memory Foam.

The coil systems are similar – they both use a continuous coil.
The coil count is similar – the Sealy count is 782 and Serta’s is 800.
However, Sealy’s coil is bigger and thicker.
The coil gauge (thickness) is stronger in the Sealy at 14 vs the Serta has a 14 3/4 gauge, which is a little softer.

Sealy April Meadow Match

July 19, 2009

From Dexter -
Can you give me your match for the Sealy April Meadow Latex?

Hi Dexter,
Unfortunately, April Meadow is not a model we carry. it is from Macy’s exlusive PurEmbrace Latex line by Sealy.

The April Meadow is a Cushion Firm which means I would recommend either the Brasswood Firm or the Garden Vine Plush. There isn’t a cushion firm model in the http://www.us-mattress.com/sealy-spring-free-latex-mattress.html line.

Sealy Maybank

July 12, 2009

From Kerry -
I was wondering if you can tell me if you sell a mattress made by Sealy, called the Maybank?

I am trying to locate information about this model, the model # is 574790. Thanks.

Hi Kerry,
We do carry this model but it is under the Kearns model name on our website. We carry it in a firm and you can click the link that to read all the information you need on this mattress.

Sealy Evermore

July 9, 2009

From Barb -
We were looking at a Sealy mattress called “Evermore”. What info do I need to get so that you can compare with what you have to offer?

Hi Barb,
I have attempted to retrieve information for the “Evermore” mattress without much luck. If you can give some additional information it will be helpful;
What series is the mattress i.e. Preferred, Reserve or Signature?
What is the coil count?
What is the mattress height?
Is it a currently made mattress?
Where did you find the one we are trying to match?

If you can answer some or all of these questions, I should be able to cross match it for you, if it is a current model. If it is an older model, I will not have a cross reference for it, and I would suggest going to a local store and finding one that you like the feel of, and giving the current model name to us to match.

Sealy Posturepedic Oak Crest

July 3, 2009

From Tracy -

My guestroom has a Sealy Oak Crest mattress and I found out recently it’s more comfortable than my main mattress. I’d like to buy it but I don’t see it on US-Mattress.com. Do you carry it?

Hi Tracy,
The Sealy Oak Crest used to be called the Thistle Meadow on our website. However, it’s since been discontinued. But, we do carry two that are very similar: Sealy “RESERVE” Hope Mills Ultra Plush and the Sealy “RESERVE” Hope Mills Plush
Mattress Sets.

Sealy Reminiscing Comfort Ultra Plush Euro Pillowtop

July 3, 2009

From Jack -
I went into a Mattress Discounters store today in New England and found a mattress I liked. I know every store has different names for the mattresses and was wondering if you had the same mattress under a different name. It was called the Sealy Reminiscing Comfort Ultra Plush Euro Pillowtop.

Hi Jack,
I was able to match up was the Sealy Reminiscing Comfort. It is an exact match to the Parsonage Lane on our website.

Vast Sky Frame

July 2, 2009

From Amy -
I’m interested in purchasing the Sealy Vast Sky Plush mattress set. Does the set include the metal bed frame?

Hi Amy,
I have checked into your inquiry, and the Sealy Vast Sky Plush mattress set does not come with a metal bed frame. We would be happy to add one to your order for $59 and the delivery company will assemble the frame and bed when they come if you order it with the free white glove delivery.

Least Expensive Mattress

July 2, 2009

From Michael -
What is your least expensive queen size Sealy Posturepedic mattress.

Hi Michael,
The least expensive Sealy Posturpedic is the Bryant Park Firm mattress set, there is no sales tax on orders delivered outside of Michigan. We have many models that are similar in price in different levels of comfort, depending on what you’re looking for.

Fairway Dunes Match

July 2, 2009

From Janyee -
I am considering purchasing two XL twin adjustable beds. I would like the Spring Free Sealy Posturepedic Fairway Dunes Plush Euro Pillow Top OR the Ultra Plush Box Top mattress. Will one of these mattresses go on the adjustable bed? If so, I can’t find them on your website.

Hi Janyee,
The reason you don’t see the names listed below on our site is because Sealy creates different names for different retailers in an effort to make shopping around more difficult. The nice part about the Spring Free line is that while the names do change, there is only one of each comfort (1 pillowtop, 1 plush, etc). The Fairway Dunes is an exact match to our Whistlewood and the Box top is known as the Laurel Cove on our site; both can be used on the adjustable frame. If you have any questions, please give us a call at 1 800 455 1052.
