Sealy Springfree and Posturepedic Information

Your prices have intrigued me and I would appreciate some help. Sealy.com has the option to “choose wisely” which gives you the preferred option of mattress. However, the information is somewhat general and I would like to know what products you have within the Springfree product line. Also, what would actually be the difference between the Springfree and general Sealy posturepedic. If you could provide me with this information, I would greatly appreciate it. The size needed is for a queen bed.

You can see all of our offered models within the Sealy SpringFree line on our site. Sealy SpringFree models are all Latex Foam mattresses, with no coils/springs inside at all. Those models will use a firm Latex core for support with varied densities of latex and polyurethane foam on top of the core for comfort. The standard Sealy Posturepedic line will be a more “standard” style mattress using a coil/spring system for support as well as foams on top for comfort. They provide different feels and different styles of support, so testing them out before purchasing is always recommended to determine if you like the feel.

I am having trouble deciding between mattresses. I am 34 years old and have arthritis of the back. I sleep on my side mainly and my husband sleeps on his stomach most of the time. Sealy recommends the Latx/Memory Foam for me and a Sealy Posturpedic for my husband. I enjoy a softer mattress. We both prefer a bed on the softer side but am afraid of getting something that would feel too soft. Is there anything that you could reccomend for both of us?

We would recommend the Sealy Spring Free latex line. It offers excellent pressure reduction for sensitive pressure points while still providing excellent support. You might consider visiting www.sealy.com to locate a store in your area that carries Spring Free so you can identify a mattress that has the comfort that is not too hard or too soft. Every store carries the same mattress with a different name. Once you find a mattress with the comfort you like give us a call so we tell you which one is the same at our or store, and you can then compare prices.

Latex Allergy

The latex that is used in mattresses goes through a process in which it is washed with soap and water, this strips the “touch sensitive” impurities that some people are allergic to.

However, if you’re still nervous about latex allergies, there are plenty of mattresses which don’t feature any latex. You can call us at 1-800-455-1052 to speak with a mattress expert and they can tell you exactly what’s in each mattress.

You actually have many possibilities on our website, too many to list here.
All the Sealy Posturepedic Preferred and Reserve models, many Serta’s and Simmons do not use Latex.

Dust Mite Resistant?

The latex in the mattress is antimicrobial and dust mite resistant, however there are other foam layers in the mattress which are not. So yes, if you want to resist dust mite growth in the other foam layers of the mattress, you would need a waterproof type of cover like the ProtectABed Premium Mattress Protector.
