Serta Serenity and Hotel Mattresses

March 20, 2010

From Marty -
I slept on a Serta Serenity at a Hampton Inn in Alabama and it was great. I went to the Hilton to Home website and noticed that they sell them for $1500 with shipping $1700.

I have seen that Sams Club offers a Serta Presidential Hotel Mattress with 814 coils. Are these two mattresses the same one?

Any thoughts?

Hi Marty,
For the hotel mattresses made by Serta for specific hotels, those are not typical consumer models and are specialty items that most retail stores do not offer. Unfortunately, we as a retail store, cannot tell if the Serenity is the exact same as the Presidential Suite Hotel mattress due to us not having the specifications of the Serenity from Serta.

I do know that Hilton hotels will typically use the 4 or 5 star hotel models from Serta, and you can follow this link to view the different hotel mattresses that we carry from Serta. The Presidential Suite that you found at the local Sam’s Club, is the match to our 5-star, Sapphire Suite model. Hopefully this information helps with your search for the mattress you want. Please feel free to contact any of our noncommissioned sales reps at 1-800-455-1052 for further questions or assistance that you may need.

Westin Heavenly bed

February 23, 2010

From Stacy -
Are you able to tell me what mattress you have with Simmons that is similar to the Westin Heavenly bed?

Hi Stacy,
Yes, the closest mattress to the Simmons Heavenly Bed on our website is the Simmons Beautyrest Dakar. It is available in a Plush and a Pillowtop. Both comforts are used at the Westin hotel.

Serta Presidential Suite Mattress

February 10, 2010

From Ron -
Can you sell me a Serta Presidetial Suite pillow top mattress?

Hi Ron,
The Serta mattress you are looking is made exclusively for the hotel/motel industry.
We do sell Serta’s Hotel Line on our website, it is categorized by the quality of the hotel; 3 Star, 4 Star, and Five Star. Serta puts different names on the mattresses for different regions of the U.S. and different hotel chains.
Based on the specs for the Presidential Suite Pillowtop it seems to be the same as our Sapphire Suite Pillowtop.

Sealy Monogram Hotel Mattress

January 11, 2010

From Kathleen -
Do you have the Sealy Monogram 800 series ultra plush Pillow top?

Hi Kathleen,
Unfortunately, that Monogram 800 is a hotel model and only available to hotels, not the normal consumer. I have checked the specs of that hotel
mattress and it appears as though the closest match that we will have is going to be the “Reserve” Hope Mills Ultra Plush Mattress.

Sheraton Hotel Mattress

December 28, 2009

From David-
Is there something close to the Sheraton Suite – Perfect Sleeper?

Hi David,
We carry Serta’s hotel collection on our website, however I do not know which one it is.
The Sheraton Hotel is probably a 4 star hotel – so the 4 Star quality Hotel mattress we sell is the Regal Suite. It comes in a Firm, Pillowsoft (plush), and Pillowtop.

Hotel Mattress Comfort Scale

November 1, 2009

From Barbara -
At what level on your comfort scale are most newer hotel mattresses? I am considering purchasing a Sealy Greenhurst level 5 mattress and would like to know how it compares to mattresses at upper end hotels.

HI Barbara,
Unfortunately, most hotels all carry different products made specifically for them from the manufacturer. We have found that when cross referencing hotel models into typical consumer models, most hotels are in the 5-7 range since those models will be supportive, yet plush on top for comfort.

Sherman Oaks compared to Serta Hotel

July 26, 2009

From George -
We stayed at the Ritz Carrolton Hotel in Pasadena, CA, and really enjoyed the comfort of their pillowtop mattress. We see from your website that they would likely have the Serta Perfect Sleeper Sapphire Suite Pillowtop. How does the Sealy “Signature” Sherman Oaks Luxury Plush Super Box Top compare with this hotel Serta?

Hi George,
The Sherman Oaks by Sealy has a Luxury Plush Super Box Top.
It is considered to be a very soft mattress with a comfort scale of 8.5.
It is a one sided mattress so it can not be flipped.
It contains a couple of layers of latex and memory foam, which are the highest end foams in the mattress industry.

The Serta Hotel Mattress called the Sapphire Suite Pillowtop is a semi soft mattress, not as soft as the Sherman Oaks.
It is a double sided mattress, which means it can be flipped and rotated.
It does not contain any premium foam layers such as Latex or Memory Foam.

The coil systems are similar – they both use a continuous coil.
The coil count is similar – the Sealy count is 782 and Serta’s is 800.
However, Sealy’s coil is bigger and thicker.
The coil gauge (thickness) is stronger in the Sealy at 14 vs the Serta has a 14 3/4 gauge, which is a little softer.

Serta Hotel Mattress

June 30, 2009

From Alexandra -
I slept on the Serta Quality Sleeper Plush Hospitality Mattress at Quality Inn and Suites and really liked it. I know it’s available for purchase through the Serta Guest Purchase Program. Do you carry it?

Hi Alexandra,
Yes, we actually carry the same mattress as Quality Inn. It’s called the Serta Perfect Sleeper Bronze Suite Plush Mattress.

Flip Mattresses

June 29, 2009

From Dorothy -
Are any of your mattresses “double sided”?
Or another way to ask this – are any of your mattresses able to be flipped?
Interested in a King set that will last – not sag or acquire a body ditch – in 8-15 years of use.

Hello Dorothy,
Most mattresses today are not double sided. However, we have a line of Serta Hotel Mattresses that are flippable.
The line is separated based on the quality of the hotel by 3 Star, 4 Star, and 5 Star.
Since you are looking for a mattress that will last you 8 to 15 years and something that resists compression, I would recommend either the 4 star hotel mattress or 5 star hotel mattress.
