As you may have found out when mattress shopping, different stores will carry the same mattresses under different model names. The Simmons Beautyrest World Class Tremont Plush is the exact same as our Simmons Beautyrest World Class Wellmen Plush. All of our Simmons mattresses come with free White Glove, in home delivery, as well as no charge for sales tax outside of MI and IN. We love our S&F Bayfair that we bought about 13 years ago, and match it as closely as possible? What should we buy?

Hi Mark,
Unfortunately, mattress manufacturer’s redesign their mattress lines every 12-18 months on average, so a mattress made about 13 years ago would be a discontinued model with no cross reference available. Due to Stearns & Foster’s major redesign with this year’s models (going from a linked coil system to an individually pocketed coil) the mattresses made this year will feel completely different as far as comfort and support. To find a mattress that you enjoy the feel of in today’s lines, you would be best served to find a local showroom to test out the options. After you have tested the options and have found a model that you are interested in and enjoy the comfort of, then we will be able to find it’s equivalent at our store.

I have a platform bed, therefore I do not need the foundation. Can the Prague Latex Plush Super Pillowtop be purchased without the foundation, if so, what would the price be?

Hi Barb,
All of our mattress sets can be purchased as a mattress only, without the foundation/box springs. You would need to call and speak with any of our non-commissioned sales reps for the price which will depend on the size you are looking at, and for placing an order since the mattress only is not listed online as an option.

I have heard a lot about sleep number beds and regular beds. Which one is really better for your back?

Hi Sue,
Every person is an individual that will have specific needs and comfort preferences that are special to them and no one else. Due to that, there really is no “better” bed. When it comes to mattresses, you get the support from the core or coil system and you get your comfort from the upper padding layers of foam or the air bladder. The Sleep Number beds, adjustable air beds, are designed more for individual comfort as opposed to spinal alignment and support. The best place to start when mattress shopping is in showrooms testing out some different styles of mattresses to determine which comfort level and support system will suit your needs and preferences the best. Once you have determined the style of bed and comfort level that you enjoy and would be interested in, that is when going online to a store like us will save you money on your final purchase. If you find some mattresses in a store or showroom local to you and cannot find them online at our store, you can always contact any of our non-commissioned sales reps for assistance in locating that mattress or a similar one.

Hi guys I am looking for a Stearns & Foster. I know every store has a different name? I don’t know if you can cross reference the two that i am interested in i am needing Queen size Here are the names Saybrook Point Plush or a Cove Haven Plush Latex. If you can help Great!

Hi Steve,
Unfortunately, the two S&F models that you are looking for are all Latex mattresses, but we do carry the Sealy SpringFree which are exactly the same as far as construction and materials, but different covering materials. Unfortunately, there are no ways to cross reference the names, but if the Saybrook Point was an Ultra Plush, then our model name will be the Meadowcrest and if the Cove Haven was just a regular Plush, then our model would be the Garden Vine.
