How do I know what’s good in a crib mattress? There don’t seem to be as many options as there are for adult mattresses. Is this a bad thing? Should I go with a brand name like Sealy?

There aren’t as many mattresses for babies because there doesn’t need to be, so it’s not a bad thing. An infant needs a firmer surface to sleep on, so most of these mattresses are firm. Crib mattresses are manufactured to a high quality standard. Buying a brand name like Sealy does offer a little more reassurance when it comes to quality.
While it won’t be used for an extensive amount of time, it is a good idea to spend a little more to get something you’re sure will work for you and your family.
