From David -
Today I visited two mattress stores, each with a Stearns & Fosters innerspring firm mattress that I liked. In one store it was called the
“Kimberly Firm LX”, and another had an “Austin Terrace” mattress.
Do you know which of your mattresses is similar/identical to one or both of these?
Hi David,
We don’t carry the Kimberly because it is part of the Estate collection; a collection that is prohibited from being sold online. But, the Austin Terrace matches up to the Wethersfield on our site.
In checking the specs for the Wethersfield and the Austin Terrace, I see a couple of differences.
The Wethersfield has 2″ of High Density SuperSoft foam with VRT, and the Austin Terrace has only 1″.
The coil count of the Wethersfield is 713 and the Austin Terrace has 825.
Do these differences make one mattress better than the other.
Barry
Hi Barry,
The specs match up 100% to the Wethersfield Luxury Firm Euro Pillowtop.
Keep in mind the Wethersfield is made in multiple comforts i.e. Luxury Firm, Luxury Plush, Luxury Plush Europ Pillowtop and the above mentioned Luxury Firm Euro Pillowtop. So which ever Austin Terrace you were finding specs for more than likely was a different comfort than what you were comparing the Wethersfield to.
The reason for the change in coil counts is because some retailers will list coil density and others list coil count. We list the coil count at 713.
