What is the difference between a twin and a twin xl? I figure “XL” is extra-long but want to confirm. What is the length of
regular twin vs. and xl, if length is indeed the difference?

The difference is only in the length.
A Standard Twin measures 38″ wide and 75″ long.
A Twin Extra Long measures 38″ wide and 80″ long.
