Hotel Mattress Comfort Scale

From Barbara -
At what level on your comfort scale are most newer hotel mattresses? I am considering purchasing a Sealy Greenhurst level 5 mattress and would like to know how it compares to mattresses at upper end hotels.

HI Barbara,
Unfortunately, most hotels all carry different products made specifically for them from the manufacturer. We have found that when cross referencing hotel models into typical consumer models, most hotels are in the 5-7 range since those models will be supportive, yet plush on top for comfort.

I am curious about the Serta 5 star mattress that is 14″ thick and is sapphire suite plush how it is as far as comfort rating. I noticed most hotels only have the 11.25″ and am thinking that the 14″ should be even more comfortable. I have tended to like Hilton and Doubletree beds which I assume are somewhat like the regal.

We do not have comfort scale ratings on the Serta Hotel Mattresses because we have never tested them for comfort. The Plush model would be a some what neutral comfort like around a 6.
You are probably correct, the Sapphire Suite models are probably a step up from that they have in Hilton and Doubletree.
