From Karen -
I am looking at the Springfree garden vine king size and want to know what is the difference between the higher and loser box spring that I can order. Does it make a difference in the feel of the bed. I read that the lower box spring makes the bed feel firmer. Is this true? Why are there two types–any special reason?
Hi Karen,
The standard 9″ foundation and the low profile 5.25″ box spring will provide the exact same support and feel and durability and the only difference is simply the height. I am unsure of why a customer would say the low profile box spring makes the bed feel firmer since the box springs are built identically except for the length of the side boards to make it either higher or lower. The only reason for the option is for shorter customer to have their bed lower so they are not jumping in and out of bed which is handy when purchasing a very thick mattress.
