Can you please measure the height, width and length of the Spring Air Back Supporter Radiance Extra Firm Full mattress and low
profile foundation? I have an antique bed and want to make sure it will fit on it. And I do NOT want a mattress that is very high. Could you tell me the difference in heights of mattresses say in 1940 compared to the smallest of the mattresses now?

Hi Jonette,
The standard dimension for a full size is 54″ wide by 75″ long. The Back Supporter Radiance firm mattress is 11″ thick and you can get a 9″ or 5 1/2″ box spring.
Mattresses over the years have gotten thicker. It used to be that mattresses were not any thicker than 6″ or 7″. Now it is rare to find a mattress that is 7 inches thick (most start at 9″ or 10″ now) and they can be as thick as 18″. The measurements you need are for a 3/4 size mattress and the only name brand manufacturer we have that will provide that size is Spring Air. You can select any of the models from our website and those would be available for the measurements of 48×75. The cost for 3/4 size mattresses is the same as the full size set cost we list online, but you would have to place the order over the phone with any of our reps. Also, we have a http://www.us-mattress.com/customsizes.html manufacturer that will build the mattress set to any size you need, but those start at about $699 and take 10-12 weeks for delivery.

Simmons was bought by the same company that owns Serta which is called Restokraft. The Simmons warranty is still honored even though the father company has changed.

The Simmons Beautyrest Angelique is very similar to our Simmons World Class Lusaka, but we do not have the Lusaka available in the cushion firm comfort, just the extra firm.

I have severe back problems and sleep in a sitting position. I have one of the beds that adjust. It is a twin xl. I need a new matress for it. I do not need box springs. I want the memory foam matress a firm one, and a deep mattress. what should I buy?

You have a few options when it comes to a memory foam mattress in a twin xl. I guess it depends on how thick of a mattress you want and the comfort. Here are a few examples. The mattress height info is located on the product page.

We are looking for a Simmons Beautyrest that is one size larger than what we currently have. The model is a “baroque”-”plush” which doesn’t appear on your webpage. Can you provide us with an equivalent in a King size?

The Simmons Beautyrest Baroque is no longer being made according to my records. I ran a search, and the model that replaced the Baroque is known as the Bamako in today’s lineup.
