Simmons Questions

June 30, 2009

From Miller -
Can I purchase the Simmons Beautyrest “Black” Series of Mattresses from you? I would like to know your opinion of the “BLACK” mattresses. I saw a Simmons Black “ROSALYN” and “HELENA” in a store and I liked them but I didn’t think they were very “soft” . The one on the Simmons website that sounded interesting was the “TEMPTATION” but the store didn’t have it.

Hi Miller,
If you are looking for a mattress that would be soft, I would recommend the Simmons Beautyrest Prague as it is the softest mattress available in the Simmons line this year. The Simmons Black collection is an exclusive collection to select retailers, and unfortunately, is not part of our contract. The Black collection, in terms of quality, falls in between the Simmons World Class line, and the Simmons Exceptional line. I hope this helped to answer your questions, but if you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to give us a call at 1 800 455 1052.

Whistlewood Mattress Only

June 29, 2009

From Stan -
I am interested in the Sealy Whistlewood Matress in a king. I saw it locally at a furniture store and your prices are comparable. Since my latex foundation is only 6 months old I really didn’t need to replace it. Do yo carry it?

Hi Stan,
We do carry the Sealy Whistlewood king mattress only online. We have a limited number of mattress only products available online but any mattress we carry online can be ordered by itself by calling our sales team at 1-800-455-1052.

Sealy Adam’s Farm

June 29, 2009

From Suzy -
I am looking for a Sealy Posturepedic “Reserve” Adam’s Farm twin mattress. Actually two of them. I tried lots of Sealy’s at our local store and found this to be the best for my guest room. However, I don’t see this one on your website. Also, I know that different stores have different models that are named differently at each store so we can’t compare prices intelligently. Is there one by another name that’s the same as the Adam’s Farm? I am interested in the plush model or the plain one.

Hi Suzy,
The Adams Farm is the same as the Hope Mills on our website. You can get this mattress as the Hope Mills Plush or http://www.us-mattress.com/sealy-hope-mills-cushion-firm.html .

Mattress for a Child?

June 29, 2009

From Tawney -
We will be upgrading our toddlers bed to a full size bed. Is there a mattress you would recommend for children that would last 10-15 years?

Hi Tawney,
There really isn’t a mattress that is best for a child. The only thing to really look at is the feel of the mattress. Typically for a child you don’t want to choose a mattress that is too soft or too hard. Typically we recommend products in the plush feel. A plush is usually a middle of the road feel that should contour very nicely for a child. As for the life span I would look for a mattress that has a 10 year warranty. A product with a warranty of that length should last you the 10-15 years you are looking for.

There is a line of Simmons kids’ mattresses that you may want to look into. They do have a plush full size mattress with a 10 year warranty that fits what you’re looking for, the Simmons Beautyrest Beginnings Nighttime Whimsy Plush Mattress Set.

Stearns Hotel Collection Firm

June 29, 2009

From Laurie -
Macy’s has a Stearns and Foster Hotel Collection ‘classic ultra firm’ mattress. Its 14″ deep and hard as a rock!! Which of your S&F models is EXACTLY like the Macy’s model? thank you!

Hi Laurie,
We do not sell the Hotel Collection by Stearns & Foster, we carry the Provencial Collection. Which means they are not identical.
The absolute firmest Stearns & Foster model we carry is the Caravelle Firm. It is a 13″ thick mattress.

Simmons on a Platform Bed

June 29, 2009

From Matt -
My wife and I are buying a king size platform bed with a slatted support system and am wondering if the Simmons Beautyrest Dakar Plush mattress would work with this bed? We would like to avoid getting a box spring but do not want to void the warranty on the mattress. Is this mattress capable of being properly used with a bed of this type? Thanks and have a great day.

Hi Matt,
Yes, the Simmons Dakar Plush would work with a slatted platform bed.
Using this mattress without a box spring on a platform bed will not void the warranty.

Flip Mattresses

June 29, 2009

From Dorothy -
Are any of your mattresses “double sided”?
Or another way to ask this – are any of your mattresses able to be flipped?
Interested in a King set that will last – not sag or acquire a body ditch – in 8-15 years of use.

Hello Dorothy,
Most mattresses today are not double sided. However, we have a line of Serta Hotel Mattresses that are flippable.
The line is separated based on the quality of the hotel by 3 Star, 4 Star, and 5 Star.
Since you are looking for a mattress that will last you 8 to 15 years and something that resists compression, I would recommend either the 4 star hotel mattress or 5 star hotel mattress.

Hi Andrew,
The Simmons Angelique you experienced at Macy’s is comparable to our Simmons World Class Lusaka Firm Pillowtop.
