Polytop Help

June 20, 2009

From K.P -
I have two questions:

1. Do you sell the polytop separately? If so, what is the price?

2. Is the polytop available without legs?

Here’s why:

I have two antique twin size beds. I’ve used the foot boards from both, along with two side rails to create a single (twin-size) daybed. I don’t want to use the boxspring because it makes the top too high. So instead, I’m using a solid piece of plywood to support the mattress.

What I’d prefer is one of your *polytops* and ditch the plywood. I’d like to set the polytop on my existing side rails. The side rails have *fences* that would prevent it from shifting from side to side – it would set securely in place.

However, the legs of a standalone polytop would get in the way.
Do you sell the polytop separately? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi K.P,
Unfortunately we do not sell a Polytop separately. I would recommend speaking to your local retailers as they should be able to order it for you. Just to answer your second question yes the polytop is available with no legs though I question the stability of a bed that uses that as it is not really designed to be used only with a headboard and footboard.
