Serta Hotel Mattress

June 30, 2009

From Alexandra -
I slept on the Serta Quality Sleeper Plush Hospitality Mattress at Quality Inn and Suites and really liked it. I know it’s available for purchase through the Serta Guest Purchase Program. Do you carry it?

Hi Alexandra,
Yes, we actually carry the same mattress as Quality Inn. It’s called the Serta Perfect Sleeper Bronze Suite Plush Mattress.

Different Box Springs Void Warranty

June 30, 2009

From Lenny -
I bought a Bassett mattress from your company about a year ago, the Bassett Halsbrook II. My question is, if I want to buy the simmons worldclass lusaka visco extra firm mattress only and use the Bassett boxspring (since the boxspring is only a year old I am thinking about reusing it), would that boxspring be enough support for the simmons mattress?

I know that the simmons require rigid foudation and I think the bassett boxspring uses spring instead. I called Simmons but they can’t tell me if it would be proper support or if it would void the warranty because they don’t know how the bassett boxspring is made, they need me to take pictures of the boxspring and send it to them. Since you have knowledge of Bassett Bedding, would you say the boxspring that came with the Halsbrook II be sufficient support for the simmons worldclass mattress?

Hi Lenny,

If you place a Simmons mattress on top of any other manufacturers foundation it will void the warranty. Simmons did not inform you of this for the fear of losing you as a customer. All manufacturers preform this way. Since that box spring is from last years line I believe that you would void the warranty on any mattress that you place on it at this time.

Custom Mattress for Antique Frame

June 30, 2009

From Joe -
We bought an antique bed frame we thought was a full size – it ends up the frame measures 60″ wide by 75″ long. do you have a mattress and box spring to fit?

Hit Joe,
For that size of mattress you would have to go with a custom size mattress. Those will start out at $699 and take 10-12 weeks for delivery.

Mattress Model from 2001

June 30, 2009

From Jennifer -
I purchased a king size mattress at Gabbert’s in Fort Worth, Texas December of 2001. I believe it was a Queensbridge. What is comparable?

Hi Jennifer,

A mattress made in 2001 would long be discontinued. Every year the mattress companies discontinue their old line of mattresses and come out with a completely new line. Changes have been extreme over the last 8 years.

You would have to start fresh in your search for a new mattress.
You could go to the manufacturer’s website and utilize their store locator to find a store in your area that sells their mattresses.

3/4 Mattress

June 30, 2009

From Sue -
I need to order a 3/4 mattress set and I can’t seem to figure out my procedure from your website.

Hi Sue,
The only manufacturer currently offering 3/4 size mattresss (38 inches wide by 75 inches long) is Spring Air. You can view the selection of Spring Air mattresses online or call one of our representatives at 1-800-455-1052 for more information.

Sealy Discontinued Lineup

June 30, 2009

From Mel -
We spent the weekend at the Sorrento Hotel in Seattle, WA. The King mattress was a Sealy manufactured out of Portland, OR called a Crown Jewel Plush Low Pro 512610. I can’t find it anywhere online and I am wondering if a new similar mattress took its place. We want a CALKING and a Double in this comfort mattress.

Hi Mel,
I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but the Sealy Crown Jewel line has not been made in quite some time, at least 5 years. There is nothing like a Crown Jewel in the current Sealy line up do to the type of Coil System that was used.

I would recommend visiting some local mattress retail stores and trying out some of the Current Sealy models, such as the Signature line up.

Simmons No Flip Mattress?

June 30, 2009

From Regan -
I am interested in purchasing a Simmons Beautyrest World Class mattress within the next few weeks. I am looking for this mattress with the following specifications:

King size
“Granite” firmness
NO pillow or plush top or visco/latex foam
NO “no flip design” (I want to be able to flip the mattress)

I will need a split box spring as well. There is no need that it match the color of the mattress

Hi Regan,
Unfortunately, Simmons no longer offers a mattress that can be flipped. The most firm mattress they have in their line is the Simmons Lusaka Visco Extra Firm.

Adjustable Base Mattress for Health Concerns

June 30, 2009

From Arlene -
I am in great need of a new mattress. I have looked online for help in choosing my mattress and your company seems to be the one everyone is recommending.

I have Multiple Sclerosis and Sleep Apnea and my sleep is detrimental to my well being. I currently sleep on an Adjusta-Magic E91 Series Full bed. The original mattress had gone bad years ago, so I added a couple of tempur-pedic mattress toppers to it and have slept like that for a few years. I went to visit my sister last week and stayed at a Red Roof Inn. I sleep wonderfully there and woke each morning with no pain. It was great! I looked at their mattresses but could find no brand name or style. I know now that I cannot put off purchasing a new mattress another day.

I visited Mattress Firm the other day and tried several mattresses. The one I liked best was a Simmons Beautyrest World Class Cape Horn Plush. I do not know how that compares to your mattress in the Simmons line. I do not even know if that is the best mattress for me or if it would work on my adjustable base.

Pleases help me in my search for a new mattress. At first I was sure I would not buy a mattress online. However, after reading extensive feedback on your company and the customer service you provide I have changed my mind.

Hi Arlene,
I believe I had the pleasure of speaking with you on the phone yesterday.

We had determined the Cape Horn Plush was the same as either the Lusaka Visco Plush or the Monrovia Latex Plush on our website. It is dependent on if the model you saw had Visco Memory Foam or Latex foam inside it.

Those are both excellent quality mattresses and could very well relieve some of the pain you are experiencing. Yes, the Simmons World Class models will still work as an adjustable base mattress.

It is hard for me to recommend one specific model to you given your personal situation and health needs. I can make some recommendations but it would be beneficial to you to try out some more mattresses at local stores in your area.

If you have more questions or want to speak to someone again, give us a call at 1-800-455-1052.

Please let me know if you have any additional info for me.
